Screened outdoor living, cared for close to home

In Florida, a screened pool or lanai is often the most-used room of the house. Riverview Screening helps homeowners keep that room comfortable, open, and ready to enjoy.

We focus on pool screening and lanai screening for homes in Riverview, FL and the surrounding areas. Some homeowners call us for brand-new screening on an enclosure; others need a few panels repaired after a storm, or an entire cage rescreened after years of sun and weather. Whatever the starting point, the goal is the same: screens that fit well, look clean, and let you use your outdoor space the way you want to.

If you're planning a new project, our pool screen installation page covers what to consider with new screening, including the screen types available. For lanais, screen enclosures, repairs, and rescreening, you'll find a dedicated page for each service below.

Screen options

The right screen depends on how you use the space

A pool deck that borders a wooded lot has different needs than a lanai beside a busy street, or one shared with a dog. These are the screen types we work with.

20x20 screening
A common, all-purpose choice for pool and lanai enclosures that balances airflow, visibility, and everyday insect protection.
No-see-um screening
A tighter weave intended for the tiny biting insects that slip through standard mesh, often chosen for spaces near water or dense landscaping.
Privacy screening
A denser screen for the walls where you want more separation from neighbors, a street, or a nearby view, while keeping the space ventilated.
Pet screening
A heavier mesh designed to stand up better to the scratching and pushing of dogs and cats that share the outdoor space with you.

Not sure which fits? We'll walk through the options with you during the free estimate.

Repair, replace, or rescreen

From one torn panel to a whole enclosure

Screens wear in different ways. A single tear from a fallen branch is a very different job than mesh that has faded and loosened across an entire cage. The right approach depends on the condition and extent of the damage — and we'll explain the options plainly.

Targeted repairs

Isolated tears, punctures, popped splines, and loose panels can often be addressed as repairs, without rescreening the entire enclosure.

Larger repairs and frame damage

When damage spreads across several panels, or the frame itself has been bent or loosened, the work goes beyond a quick patch. We handle larger screen repairs, screen replacement, and frame repair.

Full rescreening

If the mesh throughout an enclosure is brittle, faded, or failing in many places, rescreening the whole space often gives a cleaner, more consistent result than repairing it piece by piece.

Florida outdoor living

Why screening matters here

Florida's climate is a big part of why so many homes have screened pools and lanais. Warm weather means long seasons outdoors, and a good screen is what makes those hours comfortable.

  • Fewer insects

Mosquitoes and other insects are a fact of life in warm, humid weather. Intact screening keeps them outside the space you're trying to enjoy.

  • Less debris

Leaves, palm fronds, and blowing debris are kept largely out of the pool and off the deck, which makes upkeep easier.

  • Softer sun

Screen mesh filters some of the direct sun, which many homeowners find makes a pool deck or lanai more pleasant at midday.

  • A usable room

With screens in good condition, a lanai or pool area becomes an everyday living space rather than somewhere you visit only in the evening.

Sun, rain, and storms all take a toll over time, which is why screens that once looked new eventually need attention.

Questions

Common questions

Straight answers about pool and lanai screening. Don't see yours? Just ask.

What types of screen do you install?
We work with 20x20 screening, no-see-um screening, privacy screening, and pet screening. Many homeowners use different screens on different walls — for example, privacy screening on the side that faces a neighbor and standard screening elsewhere. We'll talk through the options during your estimate.
Can a damaged pool or lanai screen be repaired, or does it need to be replaced?
Often it can be repaired. Small tears and individual loose panels are usually handled as repairs, and we also take on larger repair work and frame damage. The right approach depends on the condition and extent of the damage, so we'll look at it in person and explain what makes sense.
What is rescreening?
Rescreening means replacing the screen across an entire enclosure rather than one panel at a time. It's typically considered when the mesh throughout a pool cage or lanai has aged, faded, or been damaged in many places at once.
Do you offer privacy screening?
Yes. Privacy screening can be installed on pool enclosures and lanais, on all walls or only the sides where you want more separation.
Do you offer no-see-um or pet screening?
Yes, both. No-see-um screening uses a tighter weave for very small insects, and pet screening is a heavier mesh for homes with dogs or cats.
Do you install screen enclosures?
Yes, we provide screen enclosure installation for pools and lanais. Every property is different, so the details of your project are best discussed during a free estimate.
Are estimates really free?
Yes. Call 813-686-2063 or send the estimate form on this page, and we'll arrange a time to look at your screened space.
What areas do you serve?
We serve homeowners in Riverview, FL and the surrounding areas. If you're not sure whether your home is within our service area, give us a call.
